Oh I have'nt heard of them before, are they any good for ocean crossings? Crappiest boat I saw was the one emptying sewage from the QM2..

The Shieldhall is the only genuine Crap Boat in the Solent.

(She was built to ferry jobbies from Glasgie to the sea, for those who don't know her).

Who or what is carrie?

So I know whether to send you a floral Fray Bentos or an explosive one.

For the record I do not have an AWB, I have a WAAWB and I do NOT rant, merely try to drum some small amount of sense into some of the mindless ones around here. Dedication, dedication, dedication.

And beware, I am severely pissed off at the weather and wondering whether to play golf, go fishing or go sailing this weekend or fit in all 3 in between the heavy showers. We should be on our way east by now and some b.customers are keeping me here as well, don't need any aggro from the other side of Hadrian's wall.../forums/images/icons/smile.gif

Re: Who or what is carrie?

No Carey is a doctor or something who's go a bit of a thing about religion, it also has touchie feelie connotations and I'd rather avoid that . so to subliminally project my antipathy to the internal combustion engine I utilised the onomateapoetic telecombusting Carrie .. hope that helps!

Yes, very solid boat with awesome windward performance and a reliable petrol auxiliary capable of short bursts of flight.

Re:Sewage Tanker

The Bristol Jobby Tanker was called the "Glen Avon"

Such a romantic name.

Probably a whole fleet of them called Glen this Glen that etc plying the British turd trade.
