Cranchi Zaffiro Hot Water System

Does anyone know if a Kipor ig2000 generator will run the hot water heater on a 2000 Cranchi Zaffiro 34. I cannot find the wattage of the heating element in the calorifier. Many thanks in advance for any info.

it should especially if it is still the original one as fitted by the factory
normally marine heaters have a max of 500W, I have a Mase 2.5 KW on mine and works perfectly

500w is often fitted, though it is very puny and 1000kw is better and quite common too. If you can't find the data, try turning it on/off when on shorepower and see the amps drawn. A 1kw takes about 4.3amps (230v x 4.3 amps =1000watts), and a 500w takes 2 amps. Anyway, a 2kw genset will easily run it, with some to spare

I have now found out that the heater element is actually 1200watts, so kipor ig2000 will be ok as you have said. Many thanks for the responses.
