CPD is poorly

I hope the news is good, Alan. That hospital in London is really good - they patched up a friend of mine who had a brain haemorrage (sp?) - they looked after him really well and kept him informed at all times - he's fine now and speaks really highly of them. However, I do hope they decide you are fine after all!

You must be REALLY bored in there by now.

Wonder if the nurses are still safe? :D

Alan - If there is a problem, it's better that the quacks discover it in controlled conditions, than that you find out in the field - or the Atlantic. Like AliM, a friend of mine faced similar issues a few months back and is now as right as rain - so fear not....

So, head scan revealed some abnormal enlargements in arteries in brain. There is no neuro-dept at Harlow so scans beed to be sent out (Queens in London??) for comment. Release depending upon those results. It all feels a little unreal.

We don't know eachother, and I only pop in here very occasionaly and I'm very sorry to hear about your health problems.

Apart from my best wishes for a speedy recovery I would like to add that I was at Queens 5 years ago following a stroke. You couldn't be in safer hands.

Sorry, ALan, I ve only just caught up on all this, thanks to JHR drawing attention to it.

Head Scan results should be considered as very good news in that it proves you actually have a brain !!

Not everybody around here can have that degree of confidence :D

Released yesterday afternon for complete rest. Need to get back for CT scan March 8th (aneurysms) and head scan result to form now seperate investigaton. Many thanks to all of you for your comments, wishes etc - I managed to see some of them whilst in however a Bberry screen isnt the best thing to keep up on, but have just read through them on here and I most sincerely appreciate every single one of them. Walking is the most arduous thing I am allowed to do for the next few weeks so Im afraid all the Morgana inspired stuff is now shelved - I managed I think ooooooh all of 300yds on the new bike before this all kicked off. Still. hindsight and fate dictated that it all happened within just about the best set of circumstances possible. I havent spent too long thinking about the "what ifs", none of them being too attractive. The longer term implications will be whatever they are, and they will all come out in the wash Im sure in the coming weeks.

What a truly brilliant bunch of people you are, and yet again, what a fantastic resource the forum proves itself to be.

Will keep this updated as we go. Cheers all.

Hi Alan, glad you're out and at least modestly about, really concerned to hear about the latest findings but at least it's now known about and they can get on with sorting that out too. Best wishes, stay rested and hope to see you soon.

Hi Alan,

Have been a bit concerned to read what you have been through. Glad you are back home and moving forward.

Glad to hear you are having a chance to recover from the treatment you received in hospital ;) very best wishes

Tim

He came down to Leigh on Tuesday and we had an expensive foray into Dauntless (he was impressed) followed by a pint on the sea wall in the Old Town (he forewent alcohol following docs advice ). Great to see him about and looking forward to the season.

Fingers crossed for forthcoming scan.

Hiya Ken, CT scan on Monday in Harlow with results to follow in a couple of weeks. Appointment at Queens in Romford April 12th to discuss head scan results and have to call next week for date of different scan with completely unpronouncable name also at Harlow. End of March I reckon should see the muddy waters clear, with hopefully a way forward (if indeed one is required) apparent by then.
Other than that, still under orders to take it easy. Im feeling absolutely fine and looking forward to getting more done on the boat, and then getting out on her .........
