I'm pretty sure I've thrown out (stupidly) the power/data cable for my chart plotter.

Searching the internet is turning up nothing. Anybody know where I can get a Standard Horizon CP180i cable from?

It's remarkably difficult. I spent a while trying to find a 90-degree version of the connector to fit the mounting location I had in mind. I did manage to find the right series of connector (obviously SH don't design their own) but couldn't find anyone that would supply it in less than 1000-piece lots. Afraid I don't remember the name, although it was moulded into the plug so another reader who's near their plotter could look for you.

Standard Horizon couldn't help, although a simple replacement rather than a 90-degree version might be easier for them.

I agree they are very good at support.

Make sure you have proof of purchase, not having the cables looks very similar to having a stolen plotter!

ETA - sorry not implying you stole it!!

Cheers

Absolutely no chance of that. I'd be hard pressed to find the bill of sale for my boat, let alone the chart plotter. Bits of paper don't last long on here.

This is highly annoying. I know exactly when I lobbed it. Picked up a load of knackered cables from the new boat, and it must have been mixed up in that lot. Bum!

I'm sure it will be fine but you may meet with some suspicion. Have you tried calling Marine Super Store? they always have a good stock of various cables.
