Hi all, I'm new here so thought I would introduce myself before getting involved.

My nick name is Cozzy. I had this from my schooldays but it really stuck when I rallied a Cosworth engined car many moons ago.

Now that I've slowed down a tad (although with 6 points on my driving licence) I have named our boat Cozzy.
The boat in question is a 2005 Sealine S38 with twin Volvo Penta D6 310s on drives. We bought her in 2007 having sold our trusty S28.
Being Sealine fans we are sad to see the factory close however, this will not stop us buying another, probably a F42/5 with a bit of haggling.

I look forward to joining in the fun on this community.

Yep, a warm welcome Cozzy. Sounds like you are not new to boating, so will have an opportunity to share your knowledge. From your rallying days, I guess you have a fairly good mechanical knowledge. Don't be afraid to share it with us :)
 
Welcome cozzy, i too rallied Cars in the 80s and 90s , mainly ford escorts. I then went into boating for pleasure and is also my job, I've done this for years now.

This month I decided another box needed ticking so I went and bought Gareth James BTRDA class winning BDG mark 2 escort. It's brought a lot of happy memories back from my early days in the sport, boating is great fun too but the rallying bug NEVER leaves your heart. Happy boating, best get them D6 tuned up a bit!!

Hi Cozzy and welcome from me too, informative introduction too thanks.

Though not personally a fan of Sealine as I had one of their earlier mishaps. I do like the S38, (non slab sided) a friend had one a few years ago and as ever, Sealine made great use of internal space. This model and F37 for me, were two of their best examples with a good performance on D6s'; still looked like a boat and not a caravan, probably a bit harsh there! :o

The 42/5 even better, innovative nice ideas and especially the sliding transom, on this size of boat, represents excellent all round value and like the F43, I'm sure will remain popular.

Looking forward to hearing how things develop. :encouragement:

I knew you were desperate to get back out ! I sold my mk2 in November , keeping the twincam though and am in the process of building a Lotus Cortina historic rally car now (As well as the boating)

Welcome Cossy by the way !

Seems to be the way to go from rallying - boating - then back to rallying !!

Ha, a good few rally drivers heading into the histories class :)

So if "rally drivers do it sideways" what do boaters do? ;)

Welcome Cozzy, and Hi Paul

There is a significant amount of motorsport experience on this forum, quite amazes me sometimes.

Another Forum member and I have recently launched a new website called www.motorsportauctions.com and I noticed that the car you bought Paul was listed with us for sale.

Still able to be seen on the site but now has a SOLD label across it. Looks like a geat car with some very good history.

If your handle was GSR I would have said you were a GM man - GSL ? Maybe a typo :)
