I just fancied a run out to IOW this morning and am currently berthed at Cowes Yacht Haven. Sun is shining and I'm drinking a good coffee with my wife on their balcony enjoying the view. The staff are very friendly and beer is being served shortly. In also going to fill up with petrol at 89 p per litre just next door...

Edit - petrol is not 89 p a litre thats the "retail" price of diesel (60 p for heating). Petrol £1.34 which is still less than Hamble and significantly less than the £1.90 I paid in Dartmouth last year!!!!

No matching jumpers today either....

The catering team have set up outside huts serving drinks and food. Draught beer is available later this week.

Very quiet there today and chatting to the manager I didn't know that it is in fact a charity and the marina income supports many good causes in Cowes and the wider IOW.

I shall use them in preference to other marinas as a result!
