Cowes: Medina River, mid river pontoons

Hi all,

As the title states, I'm looking at a mid-river pontoon on the Medina river in Cowes. Pontoon is located between East Cowes Marina and the Folly Inn. Wondering if anyone has any direct experience with a mooring here, positive or negative?

We have a pontoon mooring higher up near the Folly. It's fine. Well sheltered. There's no power or water. Water at the Folly. We keep a dinghy in the dinghy park next to the Folly, run by the Medina Mariners Association. There's a water taxi from the Folly, or perhaps from Cowes, depending on exactly where you are, in the summer. By arrangement in the winter. There's a public landing on the West side next to UKSA. There are probably some on the East side, too. East Cowes Sailing Club is nearby, which has a good reputation.
