Cowes Fireworks from the water

It's a long time since I've been to see the Cowes fireworks from the water but given that I plan to be around the Solent anyway this weekend I thought I might have a look this year.

I seem to think there have been a number of changes since we last did this. Can anyone suggest a good place to anchor to get a good view?

In recent years most seem to mill around rather than anchor, the forecast weather for this year doesn't look particularly conducive to fireworks either afloat or ashore.
