Mine's 32 years old and they raced the Arrowflytes... But no, I'm not thinking of participating - the boat might just be capable of Cowes-Torquay, but I'm most certainly not (gonna need a bigger boat first! ) If they let you enter and you need crew however...

I will make a note in the diary and aim to be on the water somewhere this end however and cheer them along!

Next weekend will be the third time the Cowes Classic Powerboat Rally has been run by Ben Curtis (burgundyben) and Paul Hooper (Scarron).

We'll be in Bembridge on Friday 30th August and Cowes Yacht Haven on Saturday and Sunday, do come and say hello if you see us.

Looking at your website, I'd wish I'd never sold my 1938 seaplane tender - could have put a pair of Cummins in her, too!

Pleased to say it looks like we'll have close to thirty boats in Cowes next Saturday.

And we have been promised a flypast by the Royal Navy Historic Flight, Fairey Swordfish [sink the Bismark] and Hawker Sea Fury [shot down a Mig] time TBC

I wish you all the best, unfortunately you won't be watching us in Cinzano this year as Markus can't make it.
Probably only the second time I have not raced at Cowes since 1978 ...
My Avenger 16 is just not quite ready either !
