Cowes Breakwater

They anchor off in Cowes Roads and tender the passengers ashore to Trinity Landing. Problem is that if it is blowing from the north Trinity landing, and indeed any of the Cowes landing stages, become too risky to disembark passengers.

Yep - I've tried to stop at Trinity Landing in Kindred Spirit in a fairly gentle northerly, and it was completely untenable, the boat would have been damaged for sure if we'd tried to leave her there. We came alongside for thirty seconds or so, fending off by hand, before realising that it wasn't really an option and departing again. I've been to Cowes with a stronger northerly (which we knew would be rough in the harbour, but we were going to the Folly anyway) and it was choppy well up past the chain ferry.
