I read somewhere that
France may be imposing 'tit for tat' quarantine restrictions on arrivals from the UK .

Confusion over French reciprocal quarantine for UK arrivals

.

I read somewhere that the decision on whether the French Government would impose a quarantine on people arriving in France from the UK would be taken at a meeting yesterday.

I cannot find any mention of any decision being taken in the BBC/ITN/Reuters/ Le Figaro/Le Monde websites.

I have a ferry to Caen booked for this Saturday and it would be useful to know what is likely to happen.

Has anyone heard anything yet?

According to our mayor (who is aware that my other half travels to/from the UK on a regular basis) the quarantine for all those travelling to France from the UK will most likely come in force early next week.
To be announced in due course.

Any rumours as to whether that's likely to be a 'voluntary' quarantine as previously or more draconian ? We're due out on 10th, hopefully for a month

We arrived at Caen on the ferry from Portsmouth this afternoon. No requirement for us to quarantine in France. Very few passengers on the ferry. Self-service restaurant, bar and shop open.

Majority of people in motorway service stations observing social distancing and wearing masks.
