I just received my marina berthing renewal invitation which is due at the end of June and the price has gone up 2.5% since last year .
No partial refunds received due to the lockdown. The marina gates have never been locked to keyholders but government restrictions have effectively closed the marina until last week. Marina staff have been furloughed and the marina office / chandlery remains closed.
Electricity charges have gone up 12% recently due to a new service charge associated with new electricity bollards - bu that was happening regardless of Covid.
To be honest these increases are not going to dive me away and are offset entirely by fuel already not burned in our cars and the boat since mid March.

However I would be interested to know what people think.
Is anyone expecting marina fees to remain static (or increase or decrease ) due to the Covid-19 pandemic?

I think there will be increased demand on marinas and boating as people who already have a boat will be using it more this summer rather than taking a holiday abroad .
Some people may think of boating as an alternative to a foreign holiday to the benefit of the industry.
Some boats will no doubt be placed up for sale as businesses suffer - but will these be in the minority ?

If a visit to the pub has all the romance of a trip to Tesco's due to social distancing will there be a demand to visit places like Yarmouth?

Similarly capacity at some places will be severely limited if rafting is banned.
I imagine the authority will close the harbour due to worries throughout Yarmouth for social distancing.

That’s a bit rich especially on the cost of electricity, the new system no doubt has been installed so that no one can steel electricity plus the cost of administration will be zero or near to , I thought the law stated that no one can profit from the grid , only by a service charge . 2.5% is about as near inflation as you can get although by not having to pay staff has actually reduced running costs this year .
No refund to you yet he’s received a refund on his own mooring on the south coast .

Prior to CV19 most South coast marinas in the big league increased there mooring fees in line with inflation and predicted running costs , however most have given something back as you well know from other posts on here .
I am looking at buying a boat again , no real bargains appearing yet , I think it will affect the big players not being able to shift stock already sat in yards prior to this terrible time .

That's interesting

I doubt anyone was stealing electricity - not on our pontoon anyway . The new electric system is an improvement in that I can switch it on and off remotely using an app . We now pay for electricity in advance on the app and 12% is deducted immediately as a fee so the marina doesn't even have to read any meters or send out invoices or take hundreds of payments .

I had hoped for a zero mooring fee increase this year due to Covid ...... its not about the amount of money , more about the principles, especially if the marina owner has received a rebate for his own south coast mooring . There is time yet for a rebate but I am not holding my breath.

Haslar has been installing a similar system which is web based rather than an app. They don’t take a service charge.
