I'm waiting for the yard in West Wales where I keep Sea Symphony to quote me for a new cover. It's a small job. I've chased but nothing has been forthcoming. They sub the work out anyway but no other contractors can come on site. I've put a temporary cover over that part of the cockpit at the moment.

I noticed yesterday that the larger main cover needs some restitching and could do with a proper clean and re-proofing. It's in otherwise good nick and I would rather like to hang on for a couple of years before replacing it. I can remove it from the boat and as work takes me around the country (especially southern England) getting it to someone away from the yard is no problem. I can rig a temporary cover whilst it is done but would obviously like someone to get on with it.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a reliable company to sort me out?

Thanks for the responses, guys.

Chris Harris seems to be not too far away and en route for many journeys to clients so that's a possibility.

Phil - I'm at Dale Sailing's Dry Stack - not been there long. I understand they sub the work out to Ratseys and I've tried calling into Ratseys' workshop but there is never anyone there and the note on the door says they are all out and leaves a mobile number to call. I got the impression from Dale that Ratseys were very busy which is great for them but I need someone to do the job!

Thank you both for taking the time to respond - as always this place is a great resource!
