We winter ours ashore and cover her - teak decks included. I think frost is the problem so we try to keep the decks dry. The cover is held up a bit by fenders and other bits and pieces - which allows enough air to circulate and keep it all dry underneath.
I'd worry about windage with a cover as big as Littleshop's on a boat ashore in a cradle. Fine afloat or for something other than a fin keeler.

Are we really sure all this covering up is good for the boat? Doesn't it just harbour damp which would soon go if the boat was uncovered?
We bought an AWB (with teak decks) which we ashore Nov -Mar. It came with a huge tailored tarpaulin which weighs at least a hundredweight! So far we haven't used it. Are we doing wrong?
