Following on from my surveyor post (thank you for the follow up's and Byron for the offer of history for the boat) my friend has now parted with his hard earned and brought Edgewood. She has lived in a boat house for the last 5 years, and as she will now live on a mooring she will need a boat cover. Can someone recommend a good cover maker for Slipper Launches?

If you want to save your self about £900 go to millets and buy some ground sheets and some snap on eyelets and shock cord . The ground sheet material is totally water proof and cuts easy as it is rubberised . You can join the sheets with hot glue and mastic to give a neat and strong joint .
Ok its not a posh bespoke cover but for less than £20 i like having my unposh bespoke cover /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
 
In comparison to the cost of having the deck re-varnished, the overall cover is a superb investment.
I have recently had such a cover made for my 18ft open launch, that also extends down the hull (skirt) to just above the waterline. This saves bleaching if the hull is varnished and scuffing from fenders.
Cost was £700 inc' s/s hoop, 3 vents in the cover and openings for mooring lines.
Superb workmanship, good price, nice people and done on time!!! I have never come across anyone on the Thames that can match any of those let alone ALL!
