Courtesy flag for Bermuda?

The red duster

It's as simple as that. Of course you could go to West Marine and spend $$$ on a Bermudan flag ..... Why bother when all you need is a smidgin Red Duster .... But if you don't wear a courtesy flag nobody in Bermuda notices.

Have a nice time there ... It's a great place and get you scooters from the top end of Water St and the cheapest supermarket (proper one) is on the site of the old USA airforce base - from St George: 1st left at the roundabout over the causeway past the airport and as soon as you go up the hill fork right /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You have a red ensign, so do they. No need for a courtesy flag. Same applies to e.g. Anguilla, Montserrat etc. Australia & New Zealand may be a different case though. Any info from down under on that?

Tell me, why do all the houses have white painted concrete roofs? Hurricanes?

Tradition and heritage, based on
- being storm proof
- what they have learned to build
- planning regs wanting to keep to the tradition
- they reflect the sun
- they catch the rain for storage under the house

Glad you enjoyed it.

All of SWMBO's family are there, so it is more of an obligation than a holiday for us, but I still love the place.

Thanks for the replies.

Miribriani - planning departing Norfolk on 9th or 10th July and will be in Bermuda 3.5 to 4 days later for a couple of days. However, we may have to avoid Bermuda altogether if there are any early hurricanes heading that way.
