Huh? Pressure today is 1016mb, so tide will be depressed by 3cm... The days to watch out for are next week when West Mersea has 5.8 at lunchtime

No, it is 5.8 this week end, and low pressure is predicted by the BBC

At Harwich Monday is the highest predicted this month, 4.32 at 12-46. 5th December will be slightly more at 4.33.

Met Office pressure charts so an unremarkable low with central pressure c. North Norfolk, and no lower than 998, so a 15cm rise, but the winds are southerly so will negate that effect somewhat... Now if we were talking 973...
