It’s been hot here with a calm windless forecast and a bit crowded in local haunts so we’ve set of W at D speed 9.5 knots to drag out the running time and the artificial breeze created :encouragement:
Burning 20 L per side that’s all in dead calm conditions
No fixed passage plan or even time scale so, I thought I’d post pics .

Busy local Lerins on a Sat . What we are trying to avoid.

Great pictures and great looking boat - thank you for taking the time to post! I'm new here, so can I ask which model Itama this is? The combination of no fixed time scale + a med location sure doesn't make me envious at all

Need to drop gash off , walk the dog , and re stock on soft drinks .
Only been “ out “ 24 hrs !

The last time I was there, wasn’t there a sign saying no anchoring no dingy ashore no dogs?:):):)

We have moved round to Porquerolles island .There were a few too many Medusa for Mrs PF,s liking in Port Cros .
Air temp before noon was 32 and sea 28 .

It’s better hereto swim Medusa wise but the air temp feels cooler .Yesterday air temp was nearly 40 on the mainland.
Nice n quiet as it’s not school hols so sans screaming kids , just adult boaters of a certain age :) Silver boaters :encouragement:

Took some pics on the I phone , which have auto trans to the I pad , but they fail to upload and even from the chuffing phone alone - this forum would be so much better if pic uploading was ironed out .

Anyhow good old imgur ——- sooooooo user friendly- rant over , must the heat it’s getting to me @ anchor :)

Yes, after this week it’s going to get crazy and we will probably restrict ourselves to day trips or just staying home out of the heat and crowds. Luckily this week is great boaty weather :encouragement: will probably go to Porquerolles tomorrow afternoon/evening and stay in the port for a couple of nights (if there’s room!)

Loving the imgur links Porto. :encouragement::cool:

Tnx glad they work .
I’ve checked my “ settings “ and only used about 33 % of total pic space ( the red / green coloured bar ) .
I,am a total numpty re IT used to pass that on to employees.
But other forums seem a doddle re uploading pics compared to this .
Sorry guys for copping out with imgur , if folks can’t access the pics .

See what tomo brings , I,am in Bouba s stamping ground .:encouragement:

You're making me jealous L! I'm on the boat from tomorrow for the rest of the week, but on my own so I'll be port bound

Ok we will call in on our way back , or @ least attempt a visit .
Bars look good and you can talk me into the bodge tm system I’ve seemed to have named accidentally in true forum robust discussion :encouragement:.
Be in touch L

I don't think you will be allowed to fit the Bodge-Flow™©® system now......permission MUST be granted.:p

W is Marseille but before there the “ Calanques” been there as well a while ago .Also few places near Toulon like Sanary Sur Mer are nice.
It can get a bit windy the further W and unpredictable. You roll the dice . Mistrals and aftermath .
Here in the Porquerolles, the islands the main lands coves and bays and sandy beaches , the less boat density it feels kinda different from E of St Tropez to Monaco .

E boundaries are hard land of IT it curves S at about Portofino. We have been to Elba and Corsica.
Corsica is S and below that of course Sardinia.
Italy is a pleasant experience, stuff so much cheaper and the folks seem very friendly and you don’t need a very high “ rip off radar “ switched on continuity as you do in the CdA boat industry.

It’s about 50 miles from La Napoule ( Cannes area ) to Port Cros .

The bay of St Tropez is about 1/2 way ish ? You could spend a week there twixt St Trop , Cogolin , Port Grimaud, St Maxim + anchor every other night .

Then there where Marc C is St Raphaël, bay of Fejus and Agay + some smaller calanques just W of the Esteral Mountains.
A nice new marina in St Raphaël old town worth a visit .

Hots spots are obviously near Nice airport within 30/40 mins each side = Cannes to Monaco depends on A8 traffic .
A8 can be up there with the M 25 :)
It’s busy in this stretch , on the sea and land .

See the flying buttresses a marmite style feature , I,am ambivalent but theses thing I fear will date .
Behind it is one of those Scando 80 quad IPS jobbies who’s name I can’t remember- anybody ?
Delta Powerboats.
Btw, her flybridge looks more extended over the p/house, pretty much like jfm suggested.
Maybe someone at the yard took note...
