Trailer Sailer
Fortunately I am blessed with a low-maintenance wife, who wants the boat more than me.
It's me with the expensive alternative hobby, I've got a Land Rover, which makes getting a trailer sailer sould appealing, as long as I could keep it on the water during the summer, to save launching it twice a week.
Can trailer sailers feasibly be left in the water all summer and be sailed across the channel with 4 on board?

Yes to the first and yes in the right conditions to the second. I had a Hunter Delta 25 which my land rover towed to Scotland. 25mph up the M74 is a whole site better than 5 knots across the Irish Sea, with the benefit of service stations
