Costa Dorada Marinas

We are considering relocating to the Tarragona area and would be grateful for general information on berth availability and cost (33' masted) for any reccommended marinas.

If you go a bit further south then you will find that there are moorings in Marina de Denia. Also a lot of change to marinas eg Santa Pola, in this area so don't necessarily go by what you see in the pilot book or what's on the web. You can always pop over and have a look?

Unfortunately you are the MOST popular size and berths are scarce. Torredembara (?) was a great marina but understand quite a few Brits in there now. DENIA is one of the most expesive on that stretch of coast and they will want your years money upfront before you even get there!

Try Pobla Farnals, just North of Valencia. Ask for Miguel, owners son, they can often squeeze you in.

There are several on the coast in that area, but as Barcelona is only 40 mins away by train it is VERY popular area.

Forget emailing them. Go in & talk to the various brokers, they always have berths for sale & rent. I have a 12 metre berth in Torrevieja for rent if its of any use to you............Nat
