Cost of Spray Hood For Seal 22

Hi,

I was wondering what the cost would be for a spray hood for my Seal 22 new or used, and availability.

Any help welcome.

Would depend on wether you need tubes or just canvas made to existing pattern .
Stainless hoops - £100 - £125 ea
Canvas - £350 - £500 ,

If getting one made from scratch then I would speak to someone willing to visit yr boat and discuss yr individual requirements , there is one south coast manufacturer that has patterns for lots of boats but then your stuck with their design

Dolphin retain all patterns for ( hopeful) future use, my hood is a 1 off & the new hood will be that bit cheaper

My canvass work has set me back £1100 this year so hopefully it won't need replacing for quite a few more years yet (spray hood , dodgers & sail cover)

my hood is 11 yrs old & stitching is failing. Dolphin now use different thread & canvas

If you are going to use Dolphin, ensure, ensure, ensure you get a written quote with all specifications on it, and don't assume anything as standard. Include EVERY detail of what you want.

There's a nice little husband & wife team at Tollesbury next door to Volspec. Did a new sprayhood for my Feeling 720, using the old one as a pattern & then came and fitted it to the boat. About £600 from memory. Unfortunately I've lost their contact details & can't remember their name! Useless, I know, but you could Google them or be cheeky and phone Volspec!
