Cost of lift out wash down and antifoul

Thanks for all your input - it is much appreciated. Sounds like it is probably the going rate. I still think it is outrageous and it has led me to think: do you actually need to antifoul in a fresh water lake?
What is the downside if you don't? Bit of weed/slime on the hull to slow you down. The way I sail that would be unnoticable.

I paid £180 for lift and drop of a 28ft whilst it was having a survey done. I'm in the same situation as you just wondering why it's necessary to A/F on Windermere but there again, it might be worthwhile to get the thing out of the water anyway to see if there is anything nasty happening e.g. Osmosis, damaged rudder, prop or anode needs attention etc. lastly, if you sail or motor along for an hour or two wont that clear a lot of the lake's gloop from the bits under the water line?

Yes it is alot of money easy answer borrow a trailer have her pulled up onto the car park( free If you are a mooring holder ),do the very very easy job yourself and all its cost is £65 on antifoul and a nice bottle of malt for the lad or lassie that owns the trailer you borrowed

A normal lift and pressure wash down here is about £50/m (thats out, wash, block up in cradle, & in again), quick lift and wash for your size (done in slings) is about £100.
So lift, wash, cradle, allow to dry, rub down, mask-up, do the job, relaunch after appropriate time, do the pad spots en-route, supply AF. Seems a tad high to me but its a captive market.....

All those with suitable trailers please form an orderly queue! Glenmorangie anybody?

The best price, for lift out, pressure-wash and back in, that I ever had was €82 in Hyeres port. Allow 5 litres of antifouling and 4 man-hours work, would be a price of another €170, a total of €252. Using a crane rather than a Travelift would probably double that price. £500, in the UK, would be a fair price under the latter conditions.

hint on windermere no one has more power and are more helpfull than the wardens have a chat and all will be done as for cost i would bet on donation to local good cause and if you need a hand with the very very hard and time consuming job of the antifoul we will be all lining up to help with the bottle of GLAYVA while we wait between coats
