Has anybody seen the new domestic batteries Mr Musk's Tesla is bringing out? I know they're for fixed installs, voltages are all wrong and they are in no way intended to be used in Marine applications.... but what if someone could 'marinise' them, so to speak? Could be quite interesting in a (biggish) marine application.
3500USD (2300GBP ish) for 10kWh (Equivalent to just over 400Ah at 24V). I'm pretty sure when it comes to cost you could be an many times that if you were to go to some of the big players in marine specific, industrial Li batteries.
Just a thought.
