Can anyone advise me (now Corvette Marine have gone bust) what fuel consumption I might expect from a corvette 320 with twin yanmar 315hp at displacement and cruising speeds? Ta
FWIW in helping you make up your mind, I know 4 people with Corvettes. Two have had them for many years with the other two owning for three years. None of them are even considering changing their beloved Corvette's and plan to keep their boats forever. Given that financially they could buy bigger/newer if they wished, it would seem that at least in their opinion there isn't anything on the market that's any better for their purpose. IMHO I agree with them, and can't really think of another boat that offers as much practicality and performance as the Corvette, given that it's only 32 feet. Incidentally I have never owned a Corvette and I am just commenting on my observations and the feedback from the owners I know.
we had one for a while called third lady with twin 120hp volvos we liked it but it was an old ish one a 32 it was not a 320. the only thing was it was a bit boxy from the inside and no third cabin but otherwise good boat. the have good sea keeping abilities and was easy to handle. i would have one instead of a windy any day
I am the proud owner of a 2002 Corvette with Yanmar 300 s , it was news to me about Corvette marine going bust, disappointing as they were a very helpful outfit. If you call me on 07939258544 or email me on christian.barrett@ntlworld.com I will tell you where there is a super corvette for sale.
I'm distraught. I can't believe they've gone bust (in fact I didn't, until I saw the auction here: Corvette auction ). I've been longing after a Corvette 320 for years, to cruise around the med with hubby BEFORE we retire (dream on) . I love that it's become sort of a stylish, quirky, British boat with lots of space. Hope the next owner treats the company and build with respect. What a shame. Hope you go for the Corvette.
