So after a 5 day weather delay on Antibes ( mistral blowing 7/8 with 3 m seas) we arrived in Calvi yesterday. The crossing took 4:15 at about 23/24 knots. Not flat but not bad. Saw Dolphins about an hour out. I think I saw a whale about half a mile off the port side but it was too far to be sure.
On arrival headed up to the flybridge and boy was it windy ( the Calvi forecast was only a light breeze ).
Tied up and a chap asked where we had come from. He had been stuck in Calvi for a week. Had rented a boat for a month and found it an expensive hotel !
Weather calm from now on so swimming and banana towing can continue.
Anyway the purpose of this tread. Anyone in Corsica ? We are heading Girolata tonight and drifting down Corsica and Sardinia with no great plan.
