Corrosion X Better than WD40?

I keep hearing good things about Corrosion X and wonder if it's time to switch from my old faithful WD40. It's an appropriate moment because my current WD40 aerosol has run out of propellant puff, even though there is still product inside the can ( the third time this has happened to me) I note that Corrosion X comes with the option of a trigger spray, which may be more reliable. Any views welcome.

I have had some for a couple of years - bought in this country I think from a motorbike supplier (can't remember!!) Brilliant product. IMHO much better and more versatile than WD40

You can get it in UK - I have a couple of little sample tubes I was given, fairly sure at was at SIBS but it could have been an aircraft show.
I haven't tried it but surely it can't be as useless as WD40? That's fine as a Water Dispersant but no more than that.

I bought some earlier this year on the Internet, based on a recommendation from a friend. Have been using it on external stainless steel. Too early to say whether it is better than WD40, but I will know by spring if that helps!

I think the stuff is produced in the USA but there is a UK supplier with an on line ordering system in Sterling. There was a recent post on this forum about cleaning up ballraces on masthead wind instruments in which this stuff successfully freed them up.

WD40

.. is available in a 4 litre can with 'free' trigger dispenser- try a decent motor factor.

Corrosion block and ACF-50 are really great products and significantly better at freeing/lubricating and protecting than WD. I've used the grease, oil and ACF spray it has been quite amazing how it has freed up Al corroded parts.

Not sure if corrosion X is the same stuff though?

I believe they are Canadian, but there have been suppliers in the UK for a few years now
