Surely, being a 'classic' requires a noteworthy design / build or a boat that in someway influnced those that folowed?

Would the Corribee not be classed as a “modern classic”, and how would we identify boats which fit this category….in-fact is there such a category?

There are plenty of wooden boats that are certainly not noteworthy and could be classified as just "antiques" if one follows seasolutions method. Lots of plastic boats are noteworthy such as Nicholson, Rival etc. How about plastic Folkboats? Plastic boats have been around a long time now and surely "classic" can no longer be the preserve of wood.

Or again, perhaps not - we've spent may happy hours on the forum arguing that one in the past. Still totally inconclusive!

I have to say I enjoy looking at Lakesailors photographs of classic bots. Can't say I've seen one called Corry B. so far.
