The forecast is set for easterly winds below 15 knots.
Pasties are not going to incur VAT so can afford to eat.
The Spaniel needs to be rowed ashore at sunrise and sunset.

Where would you go in south Cornwall or nearby Devon to anchor?

2.1 m draft.
Inflatable tender with outboard but rowed ashore preferably.
Somewhat lazy skipper.
Boat based in Mylor.

I already have St Mawes, Fowey, and Scilly on the list.

Thanks

West Country Anchorages

Going eastwards - Portscatho, Gorran Haven, Charlestown, Polkerris, Lantic Bay, west side of Rame Head, loads of places up the Tamar e.g. Dandy Hole just with 2.1m I think, Yealm, Hope Cove, several places in Salcombe- look at charts, Hallsands but quite a swell usually, Dart below Dittisham, couple of bays between Dartmouth and Brixham. Other forumites have a better knowledge of those to the west of you. Then you will have to start looking at Channel Islands and Brittany. A lifetimes anchorages for most of us.

Forecast I have is for westerlies or south-westerlies. In my area (East Cornwall), I'd suggest Cawsand Bay, Cellar Bay (at the entrance of the Yealm) and Barn Pool (just before the narrows at the entrance to the Hamoaze).

Exactly what I needed to ask, (except 1.2m draft) even got a Spaniel to row, and a somewhat lazy skipper!

I doubt they are any easier to get ashore than a boxer so you are a bit constrained as some places are only suitable for landing a dog at certain times of tide and some not at all. The Dandy Hole is tricky except at HW. Cawsand is tricky because the beach is closed to dogs though they are allowed on Kingsand beach next door. Fowey is difficult except at LW. Most of the rivers have banks drying to soft smelly mud which is not what you want a long-haired dog coated with when coming back aboard

But if the mud event happens could you take some pics and post here for our general merriment? :D:D
