Cornish Liveaboards! Or Berth holders?

Hello folks,

What's the status of the marinas where you are? Much space? I'm hearing that Cornwall is "full". I'm making the move this month (or next).

Certainly visitors berths are at a premium and boats are regularly being turned away in the Falmouth area but I think once the prime holiday season is over, things will ease. I’d suggest booking something short term now to get a foot in the door, and then looking around when you get here if you haven’t decided on your ideal location.

Ah, I don't think I want a swinging mooring just yet. And I'll be bringing a bike. There's no way I won't visit Mylor, looks like an absolute gem.
Beware of the Porthleven beer there, it slips down very easily after a hard days work!

Re Transport ?
Ok its a long time, since I was in Falmouth, yes there can be a long wait for the Falmouth - Truro branch line train, but from the Moor, you used to be able to get the Hopper Bus X 82, which got you to Truro, in about 20 mins, with much less waiting time , than the train. Assuming its still running ? Also, the train stops, are not exactly convenient, depending on where you berth, whereas the busses to the moor, run continuously.
Good Luck.
