Subject: «Reopening of the Corinth Canal»
The Corinth Canal, a landmark of international significance and an important national
infrastructure, is methodically and systematically entering a new era, modernizing its
operational model with a steadfast commitment to safety, reliability, operational continuity,
customer service, and continuous development.
The recent technical interventions currently underway form part of a comprehensive strategy
aimed at long-term resilience and institutional consistency and continuity. The Canal, aligned
with international operating standards, is continuously upgrading its safety standards in order
to meet the ever-increasing demands of shipping and tourism, while simultaneously marking
the operational transition to a model of continuous operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,
365 days a year, thus completing a complex and multi-year project.
In accordance with the relevant Ministerial Decision, we inform you that the reopening of the
Canal is scheduled for the week commencing Monday, 29 June 2026.
You will be systematically
and promptly informed of any further developments.
Operational continuity, predictability, reliability, and customer service constitute a central pillar
of our corporate operation. Our team, deeply valuing the longstanding cooperation and trust
you have demonstrated, remains at your disposal for any further coordination or clarification.

Ugh that's bad news for us, our 90 days will be up in mid June and we'd been planning to use the canal to head to Montenegro. The canal had already closed when we arrived from Sicily last year so we'd really been looking forward to transiting that area on our way out.
