Cordless drill recommendations please

I got the Ryobi 2 pack combination drill and right-angled drill as a Christmas present for my dad and he uses (and abuses!) them pretty much daily. The torque limiter on the combination drill has just started slipping now after 6 months. That said, Screwfix were brilliant about it! One phone call and a courier dropped off a complete new set - angle drill, 2 batteries, charger, holdall, to his address the next day with no questions asked!

So is it 14.4v? Something up £70ish. Whose got what and is it good?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Depends if you are going to drop it in the sea?

I think you would get one suitable for occasional use at the price you say but remember the higher the voltage then maybe more use beteen charge if you have some big jobs planned.

How long is the boat? Simple solution is to get an old 12V drill and remove the batteries. Get enough cable to reach extremities of the boat and wire to the drill and connect to 12v outlet. Never needs recharching!! I've got a 9.5v drill and it works just fine on 12v.
