I have had a bad case of coral worm this year, I am in Birdham, Chichester. I already had the boat out mid season to clean it off the outdrive and trim tabs, boat lifted out last week for the winter and it was back with a vengeance, I would say about 1.5 inches thick all over o/drive, props and tabs, any ideas how to stop this happening???

We've had this problem in Chi Marina too, myself included, but only on the props.

On the subsequent lift out I mixed the prop paint with the hottest chilli powder I could find. And it's not been a problem since.

Last year, tube worm was a big problem. Most of my neighbours were victims, but our props remained clean.

Been doing this for 6/7 years now, and it seems to work for us.

There's not been a problem on components which have been anti fouled though.

Chilli powder!!!! Obviously the worm does not have a spicy palate, I will give this a go, thanks.
BTW all o/d, t/tabs were antifouled not the props as s/steel
