I am thinking of coppercoating an old westerly centaur - it has been epoxied - how well I don't know.
What are your stories good and bad about doing it yourself for a normal salt water, swinging mooring type setting. Any advice very gratefully received.
Thanks

I suggest you contact them. They do a very informative DVD on the whole process, it answers all of your questions. I have done my keel only, it has been very successful, but I didn't do the hull so cannot comment further.

Just had my 27yr old Sigma done but the old epoxy still conceled alot of damp in the hull. IMHO it's worth measuring the moisture level first as I needed a full peel/blast/epoxy before the yard thought it viable to coppercoat which would otherwise seal the moisture in further. Expensive but hopefully worth it for another 10yrs free of hauling out & repainting with self polishing stuff.
