Coppercoat on Prop?

Coppercoat do not recommend using their product on metals due to poor adhesion. I need to touch up a couple of small areas on the (fibreglass) hull where my coppercoat has come off, but will be left with a reasonable amount of spare coppercoat afterwards. I am considering using hammerite special metals primer on the maxprop fitted to my 40' yacht, then overcoating it with coppercoat afterwards. Anyone else tried this?

I raised this question last month and the concensus was that I should use Hamerite.

As alahol2 says, it is difficult get coatings to stick to copper alloys. I had no succes with epoxies but Hammerite has been very successful.

I have never tried but see no particular reason why not. My copper plated prop in UK seems to be doing well, full report later in the year.
