I currently have the equipment ready and hull prep done for CopperCoat application to my Achilles 24; she is located in Chichester Harbour, and I am contemplating doing the job on Sunday, with a little assistance. The forecast night temperature for Monday am is +5degC, which is quite tolerable; in a forum post somewhere here the MD of CopperCoat states the curing process will continue down to 1degC, so this should have some margin in hand. Some forecasters giving 0.1mm rain on Monday afternoon, but I could probably stay over and look after that with tarps etc... worth packing fan heater and 'tenting' the boat with tarps, or leaving the job yet longer?

The whole process has involved sitting doing nothing, watching 'prime sailing season' slipping away...hopefully not too much longer!

I would do it Sunday, dont wory about Monday it will have gone off by then.
Be prepared for a rubbish first season, its got to go green before it will work.

Read the application instructions! http://coppercoat.com/wp-content/up...AT-R-Application-Instructions-August-2015.pdf

Minimum ambient temperature required for application is 8C.
Saturday to Sunday overnight temp is forecast the be over 8C so be ready to start at first light

4 coats must be applied on the same day

Protect from rain for 48 hours or until hard

Also see the video

The application instructions say "do not apply" in temps below 8degC but make no mention of how long this requirement is sustained for. In http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?187844-Coppercoat-advice/page3 , EwanClark advises that the minimum temperature during cure is 1degC, which is what had slightly confused me–application during 17+degC but curing continuing overnight in temps as low as 5degC apparently shouldn't be an issue?

Many thanks both for replies–will have a watch of the video.

Studied video closely, equipped with appropriate rollers and hopefully all stations go. Terrified but can only trust in the instructions...

Only a few times thus far...
Thanks for your earlier advice and for pointing me to that video, by the way--most helpful.
