Simple Question, is it possible to use Copperbot on a wooden boat?

I suspect the answer will not be quite so straightforward!

I presume that "Copperbot" is an antifouling which is bound up in epoxy resin. While we do not have that brand in Australia, we so have local equivalents. This is a special variation of the wider practice of epoxy sheathing. As such, it is OK for completely glued hulls such as those of the cold-moulded and strip planked variety, but not suitable for mechanically-fastened clinker or carvel hulls. Glued lap clinker could probably be included in the OK group. Be sure to coat the inside of the hull with epoxy as well, so that you do not have the inside swelling and shrinking, and the outside trying to be stable.

Hi Paul, yes it is possible, but I personally wouldn't reccomend it, when the wood moves, it cracks and gives all kinds of problems, just antifoul it you lazy git!!! You can use a high build epoxy with a little plasticiser in it, which shouldn't crack before the antifoul! Remember Paul, we used to antifoul Englander on two tides on the grid at Dartmouth, just Petra and myself, stick to proven techniques, you won't go wrong. When are you going to comunicate?
