Copper rod

Hello again. .I need 3 or 4 round copper rods about 10" long and 6mm in diameter. I don't mind thicker as I can turn them down on my lathe. Here in France all I get is the usual Gallic shrug ! They are to make up long rivets as original on my wooden boat . Anyone give me an idea where to source them please?

An industrial Electrical supplier or Electrical Engineers or your local Steel Yard should have it in their maintenance shop.
They would have this for "Trolley Wires" for overhead cranes.
They should be cheaper than the Yachty Swindlerys as well.

Look for non-ferrous metal suppliers in your yellow pages or may be some one who supplies brass bar or rod

RS sell various metals in small quantities. I am pretty sure that includes copper rod in the size you need. Go to rswww.com and do it online.
