Has any one used this product in the med. Coppercoat says its good but my boat yard in greece (near Kos) says not that good in hot weather. The boat sits in the water April to october and then on the hard standing for the rest of the year.Cheers. Anton

The yard may be right that you can expect less than perfect performance in what they call hot weather. I'm willing to bet, though, that they didn't suggest that any other form of antifouling was better...?

It strikes me that the biggest problem in the Med is that there is no tide to allow you to dry out and scrub!

yes anton, i use copper /bot/coat a/f in the ionian and although 10 years old this year was still working fairly well. i have just re-done it this week and expect it to be even better . i have been very satisfied with it in greece i cant see how the temperature has anything to do with its effectiveness ? copper oxide is copper oxide at whatever temperature its at ...

Copper works very well at all temperatures but especially at higher temperatures.
We put it on oil/ gas cooling pipes in offshore applications where it is permanently at >80C, far higher than the Med

seems that its a yes, Anyone know how long it takes to put this on, we have a 37 fin keel, is it better to do it with 2 or more people. Thanks

I put mine on in 2002, based in Greece; now in the French canals. A few barnicles for last seven months in salt water but still good. Never abraded.

As to hot weather, the problem that I had was putting it on before the material goes too hard to paint, especiially on the side of the hull in the sun. Plan your project with care.
