cookham regatta

I notice that the Cookham regatta is on this saturday (5th), does anyone know if this means there is no mooring available either on the path or the feild?

In previous years [most ?] of the field is not available and about half of the path not available.

Apologies for slight drift, but we were at Cookham on Monday night and it seems that a growing number of boats never seem to move and appear to be permanent moorers . We moored by the top end of the path next to a cruiser which is facing the wrong way with a massive TV aerial which has been there for weeks/months and the mooring lady walked straight past it after taking our £5.00. Another couple of boats have been just above the sailing club for a long time as well. Does any one know if they are taking on long term moorers ?

there are at least 3 permanent liveaboard boats now at Cookham. You have the first two on the the field after the rowing club (dutch cruiser and the large wide beam barge) and you also have the orange canal barge that is moored half way along the tow path. I know the canal barge is a liveaboard, as I once asked if he could move up as we were trying to get in behind him to moor up and he said 'I aint moving cause I f@@king live here !!'
