Anyone able to give me a valid opinion on the access possibilities.

We draw 1,2m and have bildge keels.
So errors can be concealed as stopping for a cuppa and the next tide, hopefully.

Gwylan, as a general rule of thumb I'd say a 2.5 hour window at springs, a lot less at neaps. Butterfly channel has best water on approach/departure but is more 'interesting'. Three moorings possibilities as I expect you know, all with slightly different access.

Bit late I know, but RCC is a regular visitor here,up to 20 boats at a time, several of our MoBos draw 1.5 meters.we normally go straight across from No6 bouy in the main channel. If sufficiant water there just carry on in.We like to go in as early as poss, easier to see channel.
