Bruce I don't want to put a damper on it but.......

Think seal spotting around Puffin Friday or Monday is more likely!

Had our first trip to Llanddwyn Island and "Pirates Cove" last weekend it was fffffffffffff Cold!

I think Caernarfon Bar has changed a bit over winter.

Spoke to CHT and they are doing a new survey this week (So might be done before Easter!)

We saw only 2 meters under our keel an hour after high tide using last years route.

Quite fun with a huge Atlantic Swell and me watching the depth jump from 2 to 4 to 2 to 4 to 2 for a while!

Yep, like all things planned in advance they are beholden to the weather. Saturday looks grim and Sunday hardly any better but I've seen forecasts change with 3 days to go more times than I can shake a stick at the weatherman. So the plan is there, subject to change, and I / we take what we can get as the gods deal their hand. .... or we'd never go anywhere.

I was out on Amanzi this weekend. Blimmin cold but the upshot was the shake down tests after the winter work have paid dividends. She has taken well to a size up to C4 props and could probably go to C5, with a massive difference in comfortable cruising speeds. The work has transformed her, and the frigid air froze my delighted and beaming teeth into a semi permanent grin.

In so saying I do plan on making the most out of Friday too and may steal the march on the photo comp if the weather sucks Saturday.
