Converting twin aft cabins into an owners cabin

Trying to open up my boat buying options, some of the sailing yachts circa 43'-45' I am looking at originally came with either an owners rear cabin or twin berths. (so structurally should be ok with either)
I want the owners cabin, but they are as rare as hens teeth and really limits my choice, I am wondering how feasible it would be for a good cabinet maker to convert the 2 cabs into a single cabin with a central double bed.
I would be very interested if anyone has done similar
Below are images of an Elan 434 options, which is one of the boats I am looking at.

As you say, there shouldn't be a structural problem. I think the Elan 434 has a moulded GRP headliner, so removing a central partition might leave an odd-looking headlining. Otherwise, maybe no problems although you'd need to check whether tankage is in the same locations in both versions. The cost of conversion would be substantial though - might be better to find an original owner's cabin version.

Sadly the Owners Cabin versions are as rare as hens teeth, there is currently one showing on Yachtworld, whereas there are dozens of twin rear cabin versions.
