So I go down to the boat today to move her, right on high water, however the tide hasn't reached, it is literally 3ft away from the stern, requiring probably another 2ft of water to float.

Whilst being very p*ssed off, I was also thinking of any ways to move her those vital few feet down the beach to the water. I don't have a trailer, the boat is an alaska 500.
Any ideas? One that sprang to mind was to try and put some sort of roller underneath her.

I believe the correct lauch procedure is to lay out hundreds of banana skins and get all of the village virgins to push it to the sea whilst singing songs. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Mind you with some of the local lasses, apart from the trouble finding a virgin, you'd only need one /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Get a hold of some corrugated iron sheeting roll her over slide the sheeting under and with some help push her down might help if you applied some grease to the sheeting first , motrway barriers work well for bilge keels.
Cheers Annan

Yeah, Friday afternoon is looking fine to float her. However, I have friday off, so wanted to get out all day. The 0243 HW on Friday morning might be worth a shot, though is a lot of effort / lost sleep if it doesn't reach the boat!!

The water is so close i might even dig a trench!
