Conundrum, Oh what should i do ?

The weather for the w/e is looking great for a sail. SWMBOs hands are getting better after her unfortunate encounter with the spinny halyard.After weeks of abstinence (sailing) i have the opportunity of half decent cruise when at the last moment i get a tip off that swmbo's brother is going to ask if i can put his boat in at the week end. Sunday to name the day as he has to antifoul it on Saturday.

Now the question is do i switch the phones off and leave very late Friday night and try not to wake him as i drive past his house on the way to my boat?

Ring him first and invite him and his family to join us on our boat?

Dont go away but have a day sail sat and help him on Sunday?

or Help buy painting the thing friday eve and launching it first think sat so i can still get a trip in?

What would you do?

Given the forecast, it has to be either option 1, 2 or 4..... not too many weekends like the one forecasted in a year......

painting during the day if it is hot like today will be a killer, presuade him to do it late on friday evening, timed so you can finish before the pub shuts, so he can ply you with drink in recognition of all the effort you have put in helping with the antifouling, and then an early launch of the boat.

The swmbo will be waiting for you with the car loaded up for your trip to the boat, when you get back to the slipway, and hey presto off to your destination before midday.....

He has not called yet but if he dose i think that a paint on friday eve would be the best bet.It wont take long to run him down the slip early saturday morning.
