The only Beneteau First 27's that I can find for sale are racy wee critters like this - but I think that the one you have in mind is a bit more sedate?
BENETEAU FIRST 27 New Boat for Sale 2021
It’s from 1979 or thereabouts quite beamy pinched ends but lots of room, anyway have to check with agency about putting it under the Polish flag.and check about regulations concerning distance offshore 12 miles or distance from a safe anchour age or harbour. The old Spanish are sticklers for regulations it’s a wonder they discovered A merica??

Is it regulations or insurance that limits the off shore distance?

In the UK I don't think there were any regulations to stop me taking my Category C 24ft boat wherever, but I may not have been insured.

I don’t know about Spanish rules, but France has always imposed limits on how far from shelter various categories of boats under their flag can sail. My Glenans manual from the 70s or early 80s has a map of the Channel with various shaded areas showing what’s permitted to various types.

It’s in Vivero, looking at the photos it seems quite a big engine for the space. What I would like is an outboard powered boat at that age,not knowing sweet f.a about engines a improved engine fills me with doubt?

Is it the one with 2gmf yanmar at RNC viveiro?
They’re quite old engines now albeit freshwater cooled .
I know a bit having owned a 3gmf for 12 years . Very nice engine but things to be aware of might include , irrespective of hours or shiny paint or fresh servicing and filters….

4 sagging engine mounts, a dripping raw water pump and a corroded /clogged exhaust elbow would ( or may have already ?) absorb quite a few hundred euros to let you turn the key and simply go sailing…
Keel bolts , bolt on (steel, iron, rust ??) keel with all that faff maintenance , internal grid structure to check thoroughly ..

Hmm it’s not a trailerable, outboard driven , basic day cruiser , with zero costly boatyard storage /marina berthing/antifouling yearly bills like say any of the sweet sailing, lifting keel Thomas designs, ((eg)) but then again , it’s not a jet ski either ?
Would it be so difficult to buy well in the uk and trailer one home I wonder? Seems there’s more choice here and taxes would only be on a low purchase price too .. ? put the word out in Thornham maybe ??

€5k and I would be ok with a 79 Beneteau local to you and sail away condition ?
( writes mr short arms deep pockets )

Brexit has put an end to importing a boat or sailing it from UK according to sea lawyers here in Vigo so limited to boats in Galicia or Asturias at least till the summer weather, would much prefer an outboard and full grp keel..alas?

As you say, "under their flag" is surely the issue. Based in Portugal with UK flag, we have no sailing* or qualification restrictions but if we were locally flagged, entirely different matter so, if OP's going for Polish flag, could the Spanish still impose restrictions?

* We do have to have specified safety equipment if here >6 months, regardless of flag.

Yes there are about four classification the two that affect small boats. One 5miles from a sheltered beach or harbour and one that allowes you 12miles off the coast each classification with its specified equipment. The Polish flag gets around all the Spanish refs and inspections.Belgium are now saying you have to be a Belgian residentThere is nothing too arduous about the Spanis Regis but it’s the constant visits from the guardia civil on their. Otor boat fi di g little things you have not replaced or you flag is too small, this what I have been told by Galician friends.

Much the same here with local boats, we were pulled two days in a row in a dive rib for inspection of skippers qualifications, safety equipment etc. Folks fishing from boats without license or not wearing life jackets when fishing are easy pickings for fines.
