Yesterday, whilst out walking the local cliff, I watched a large container ship swing, perhaps with the tide.

When I got home, looked it up on AIS and it's the Anton Schulte.

According to the dialogue my app has this morning, it is drifting. At 9.5 kts.

Not seen that activity reported before. She's been anchored for a good while now.

And on a course of 056° should have dented Cornwall by now, by coming ashore near Porthleven.

Still waiting for a change. Been drifting since yesterday.

I think he's just got a bit of time to kill and doesn't want to anchor...or has an anchor problem, I've seen the odd ship do it before, since they won't pay to go in falmouth, once the harbour limits were extended. Don't half make a mess of crab pots when they anchor on top of them.
Looks like he anchored at 1630 yesterday.
Here's one from 2007
