.. partic if I dangle the Indian takeaway from the other spreader, indicating I am foul on that side!

If you don't have SWMBO onboard does that make you NUC?

Showing two red balls?

Not sure where the red comes in - but hoisting 2 bulls up your mast may prove a little tricky ... especially if you've already used both signal halyards!

Well I wanted to be racially inclusive so I did'nt say black and anyway they would be red at night so just saving windage..

Ah - gotya - I guess with that lot up your mast you're gonna have the donk on ... so up with the cone?

With all that lot up you're not going to be able to see where you're going - Restricted in your ability to manouver?

Surely the cylinder would have to satisfy the requirements of Annex I, para 6(a)(iii)?

"a cylinder shall have a diameter of at least 0.6m and a height of at least twice its diameter"

I make that just over 339 litres. I know Jimi's capacity is legendary, but 339 litres .... ?

A UK standard keg is only 11 imperial gallons (about 50 litres). Far too small.

Now I know why that is not in the normal inventory of a cruising yacht! (The cylinder that is, the keg is clearly an essential piece of kit).

One could always use an inflatable cylinder, saving space for the keg. There is plenty of hot air (fume laden) around here to puff it up.
