Connecting ST50 instruments to SeatakNG

good post Mr Laika , some useful information there for me as i am just about to fit / set up a whole bunch of old used but reputably good st 50 units onto my boat , i have a long way to go and have only just got my head around the Seatalk " bus " thing ( tho still not fully understanding it ). i didnt even know that ST refered to seatalk and NG is i am presuming new generation !!! thank you. R

off-course heading now appears to be working.

Update to the update now someone has revived this thread. Don't know why I thought the off course worked after the upgrade: It remains the only non-functional part of the system. What it points to seems to follow some kind of logic but I never quite figured out what...

I too miss the “how well is the autopilot doing” mode that my ST50 compass used to display with the old S1 pilot. Thought for a moment that there might be an update I hadn’t applied that would bring it back.

Pity.
