Didn't get anywhere with The Lowrance 5150c as the GPS module failed. Have bought a Lowrance Elite-7m and the nmea cable has 5 wires:
Yellow TX (+)
Blue TX (-)
Orange RX (+)
Green RX (-)
Shield (common)

The TP22 autopilot wires are:
Red-data
Blue-common

Can someone advise which wires to connect?

Without knowing anything about the pilot but assuming it speaks NMEA 0183, the 'red - data' wire will be RX+, so you want to connect 'yellow - TX+' to that and the pilots 'blue - common' wire to the plotter 'blue - TX-'

Calling the shield 'common' suggests that it might also perform as a data negative, but I'm not certain why there'd be such duplication.

Just another thought before you make the connections, if that's the only TX port on the plotter and you want it to send GPS data (lat, long, time and date) to a DSC VHF, splice in extra cores to run to that too. No sense in having to break into the wires again later.
