I went to the Boat Show on Friday. Don't ask me why - I always wonder why myself as I head home at the end of the day, armed with a couple of carrier bags of purchases I could have made at my local chandler.
There were some highlights though, the best of which by far was Classic Boat's really excellent stand. Very interesting indeed IMHO.
Probably a Preview Day only thing was the chance to see Dame Ellen fly a hull racing a 40ft catamaran around the dock outside. Most impressive, and unsurprisingly she clocked faster times than Messrs. Golding and Thompson who were fresh back from the Southern Ocean.
